A teacher from the eastern region of Santa Cruz in eastern Bolivia, he asked his students to bring a semen sample for the subject of Biology and is now under investigation for corruption of minors. In addition, she was suspended from her duties at the school where the event that generated great controversy in the country took place.

Three months passed in a school in the municipality of Minero, about 100 kilometers from the city of Santa Cruz, when a biology teacher gave lectures on the male reproductive system and asked her students how to bring some sperm. to make them “smell” their companionsaccording to the teacher in his statement released Tuesday by local media and replicated by the EFE news agency.

The teacher asked those who are “actively sexual” to bring “a condom with sperm” so that their classmates can learn about and prevent some “unwanted pregnancy”, and made it clear that this was a “tip” , so no one did their “homework” in class.

The case came to light this Tuesday after the father of one of the fifth-year high school students sued the professor before the prosecutor for “corruption of minors”.

The director of the Special Force for Combating Violence (FELCV) of Santa Cruz, Carlos Oporto, reported that the investigation is already underway and that the district director of education has been informed of the situation, as well as the director of the education unit. .

“At the moment we are witnessing the psychological interview of the Minero high school students. With what will happen in the psychological interview, we will take measures,” Oporto said.

For his part, the lawyer for the Ombudsman for Children of Santa Cruz, Daniel Ponce, said they are joining the investigation and will follow up on the case.

Meanwhile, the departmental director of Education, Edwin Huayllani, indicated that the teacher “was suspended from the corresponding function for the duration of the investigation”.

The teacher apologized to the parents and the general population for the situation, e he claimed that at no time was it his intention to “pervert” his childrenbut give them a course on sexual orientation.
