gentlemen entrepreneurs

I read an obscene exchange of messages between you the other day, it made me very sad. I was enraged to discover that my country’s economic elite was flirting with authoritarianism. I know. At my age, I shouldn’t be surprised by all this anymore. After all, our country’s economic construction was based on crime, slavery, and violence. But you know, my naivete convinced me that in the 21st century we won’t make the mistakes of the past and that the next generation of entrepreneurs will come with a strong sense of citizenship.

Since I don’t know how to draw a meme to answer you, I decided to write a letter. But I promise it will be short. I know not everyone likes to read books.

In these exchanges of messages, your disrespect for democracy and fundamental rights became clear. But let me tell you a secret. You know that favorite little table in the squares of Rome? Places where you order an expensive wine and take a photo to upload to Instagram to prove you’re supposedly sophisticated? In other words, it can only exist in that place thanks to democracy.

A democratic regime that ensures that public spaces are the guarantee of security and social peace is the rule of law and respect for the dignity of all. It’s not luxury. This is democracy. It’s not a virtual world. This is real.

I know you also know the beautiful squares in the center of Madrid. There, once again, is democracy leaking. Since the end of the Franco dictatorship, research shows that Spaniards are actually 3 centimeters taller. Do you know why? Democracy translated as the right to adequate nutrition, health and leisure.

I am still sure that you will send your children abroad to study in the best style of the patriotic elite. Do you know MIT? So they did a study where they showed that democracy is good for the economy. According to MIT, countries that chose democracy experienced a 20% increase in GDP over a 25-year period, compared to a scenario where they chose to remain dictatorships.

I also know that many of you respect stability and peace in the Scandinavian countries. I don’t want to disappoint you, but research to determine a people’s happiness index in Europe has shown that Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark always top this ranking because, among other things, their self-confidence is at the top of the list. is located. have democratic institutions. In other words, being rich is not enough. You have to participate.

guys scammers

Your children will be safer in a democracy than in an authoritarian state. Your parents, no matter how friendly they tell you, will be happier in a democracy than under the shadow of a dictator. But as good capitalists, let’s get down to business: In a democracy you will win more economically than in a regime you seem willing to support.

Prefer democracy as a matter of selfishness. Any other way is just an illusion, covered in ideological cloaks, deep ignorance or simple malice. I’m sure each of you will know which hat to wear.

Democratic greetings,

jamil
