“We must protect the safety and security of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant,” the president of the International Atomic Energy Agency said in a tweet on Monday.
After weeks of negotiations, an IAEA team is finally heading to the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, Rafael Grossi, president of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said in a tweet. For several weeks, Kyiv and Moscow have accused each other of bombing the nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe.
“The day has come, the IAEA mission to Zaporizhia is already on its way. We must protect the security of Ukraine and the largest power plant in Europe,” Rafael Grossi wrote on Twitter, specifying that the mission would arrive at the site “later this week”.
