It is “very positive” that experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency have been able to inspect the Ukrainian nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia on Thursday, although it is “too early” to assess their conclusions, the Kremlin ruled on Friday.
“In general, we find it very positive that the delegation has come and started work despite difficulties and problems,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
The director general of the IAEA said he was “concerned” after visiting the plant, the object of attacks of which Russia and Ukraine accuse each other.
“The physical integrity of the plant has been violated on several occasions (…) deliberately,” he denounced.
