Two Brazilian children, aged 7 and 11, are registered in the USA with the US Department of Children and Families following the death of their parents.
A murder in the town of Hyannis, Massachusetts, followed by suicide, left two young children helpless. The family, located in Brazil, contacted the office of MP Alexandre Padilha (PT-SP), asking the congressman to call Itamaraty for the bodies to be sent to Brazil and ask about ways to facilitate as well as obtain information about the children. Their return to Brazil.
In a letter to Itamaraty on September 3, Padilha asked the government to mobilize to help these children, with special emphasis on protecting the rights of these children and “respecting their dignity after such a tragic event.”
“The mission must be an emergency,” Padilha told the column. “In addition to the trauma of the brutal loss of their parents, these children are living and experiencing the trauma of being imprisoned in another country, despite the Bolsonaro government’s failure to act at the speed it should have acted.”
Itamaraty contacted the report this Sunday morning. As soon as a response from the government comes, it will be added to the report.
