A motorcycle loaded with seven people in India has caused a stir on social media in recent days and has rekindled the traffic-related debate in the Asian country.
A video circulating online shows a man standing by the side of the road as six other people wait to get into the vehicle.
In the footage, it is possible to see two children riding a bicycle and sitting in the front, between the driver and the handlebars. Then two more women ride in the back, each sitting sideways with a child in their arms.
The video was shared by Supriya Sahu, Under-Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Forests in Tamil Nadu, India. He criticized the people in the video and said it was “quiet”.
Known as the second most populous country in the world with a population almost equivalent to China, India frequently records images of overcrowded vehicles on the streets, especially in public transport such as trains and buses.
