King Charles speaks to Parliament for the first time: ‘I feel the weight of history’

Shortly after the speech, Charles and Camilla traveled to Edinburgh, Scotland, where the new king will continue Elizabeth’s farewell ceremony in the United Kingdom. It will open the Queen’s public awakening ceremony, which will be held in St. Gilles.

The monarch’s body arrived in the city on Sunday, 11 and will remain in the religious center until Tuesday, 13. From there he will be transferred to London, where he will be at a new burial in Westminster for four more days starting Wednesday (14).

The Queen will be buried next to her father’s grave in the George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Palace on September 19.
