King Charles III became ruler of the United Kingdom for the first time on Monday at the autonomous Holyrood Parliament in Edinburgh, where he was presented to the people of Scotland by his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. After the Assembly adopted a motion of condolence on the queen’s death, the monarch said: “I know that the Scottish Parliament and the people of Scotland share with me a deep sense of loss following my mother’s death.” Said.

The new king confirmed that the Duchy of Rothesay and the rest of the Scottish titles had passed to Prince William.
“He will be as proud as I am to bear the symbols of this ancient kingdom,” the king said.
Before Charles’ speech, Scottish Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon had his body found in St. Giles is in Edinburgh until he is taken to London tomorrow.
“Queen Elizabeth, Queen of Scots, is our nation’s anchor,” said the leader of the Scottish National Party (SNP), reassuring locals that they are ready to support the new king.
Sturgeon, who plans to hold a new referendum on Scotland’s independence from the rest of the United Kingdom, said: “We stand ready to support you, Your Highness, as you continue your life of service and continue to build on your beloved mother’s extraordinary legacy.” 2023
