Presidential candidate, former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), said today that the EU (European Union) made a “mistake” in supporting the War between Ukraine and Russia that began in February this year. For the PT, the bloc should have avoided conflict in the area.
“I think the European Union made a mistake in giving way too easily on the war between Russia and Ukraine. The European Union needed to swing the pendulum so that there would be no war. More talk needed, more seriousness needed.” Lula during an interview with CNN Brasil.

Lula argued that the European Union has always acted as the legacy of democracy and therefore could hinder the development of war between Russia and Ukraine. The PT candidate took the opportunity to insert his main rival, President Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
“I see very few people talking about peace, a lot of people talking about selling weapons. I was in Ecuador when I only had twenty days in this country, and we decided to form a group of friends to build the referendum in Venezuela,” he said.
