(Reuters) – Zelenskiy’s spokesman, Serhii Nykyforov, said in a Facebook post Friday (local time) Thursday morning that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s car was involved in a car accident in Kiev, but was not seriously injured.
Nykyforov, who did not disclose when the accident occurred, said that Zelensky’s car collided with a private vehicle.
“The president was examined by a doctor, no serious injuries were detected,” he said, adding that the accident would be investigated.
The spokesperson added that the doctors accompanying Zelenskiy gave emergency treatment to the driver of the private vehicle and put him in the ambulance.
Minutes after Nykyforov made the statement, Zelensky’s office released a video of the president’s nightly speech every day.
