On Sunday, while his comrades worried about other animals, he chose a buffalo weighing more than a thousand kilograms to shoot with a 408 rifle, according to the UN. He was 30 meters from the animal when he shot him.

The buffalo was not killed by the blow and so, in response to the attack, accused Najjar several times with his horns until the tour guide who accompanied the Mexican shot the bovid five times and managed to separate it from the hunter.

As a result of the attack, Najjar suffered several rib and sternum fractures, as well as retroperitoneal hematomas. He went into shock and died a few minutes later in a van on his way to the hospital.

Najjar had to be transferred to the nearest clinical center in a private van because emergency vehicles could not get to where he was.
