In conjunction with the BAFICI film festival, the Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires is also presenting a wide range of cultural proposals for children to experience BAFICITO until March 28. The opening of BAFICITO is in the garden of the Enrique Larreta Museum along with the film Clarita’s universe by Tomás Lipgot, a documentary with songs depicting the life of a 13-year-old teenager in Rosario.

According to Javier Porta Fouz, Artistic Director of the festival: “At Baficito, in this edition, we are lucky to have a film like Clarita’s Universea picture full of imagination and pleasure, qualities that can be extended throughout the section, where really diverse and surprisingly animated proposals shine ”.

BAFICITO presents a selection of 14 films for children, youth and adults. The global animation scene -and more- is always present and this year the section for girls has re -established its place when it comes to celebrating storytellers indefinitely.

In addition to shorts, there will be classic feature films of the history of cinema that can now, and perhaps should, be rediscovered. Thus, such works are invincible the red wolf (the Cannes miracle awarded by Albert Lamorisse), Gertie The Dinosaur (an important piece of animation in the early twentieth century) and the pioneer travel to the moon (the always adventurous creation of Georges Méliès).

Tribute to Garcia Ferre

The star of the Focus section of BAFICITO is Manuel García Ferré, who will release classic films such as rags at Ico the brave little horseIn addition to the chapters of children and various director announcements.
