Beginning in May, the Repentigny town of Cowboys Fringants will host the first retrospective exhibition on the career and influence of this leading musical group on the Quebec scene.
The Center d’art Diane-Dufresne is behind this initiative as a tribute to the group that has been circulating for more than 25 years here and elsewhere in the Francophonie.
Visitors who go there will be able to discover the group’s work on a timeline that will be parallel to historical events in Quebec and to the career of the Cowboys.
Throughout its career, the group has identified itself with their dedicated songs, dealing with political issues directly and advocating for the fight against climate change, in particular, such as At half-mast where 8 seconds. But it’s also a popular happy group that knows how to move people.
The exhibition is committed to the public findings as touching as unpublished through a selection of artifacts associated with the group.
