The first glimpses of “Avatar: The Way of Water”, sequel to James Cameron which will hit the big screen 13 years after the first film, could be seen in a beautiful teaser released earlier this week. According to The Hollywood Reporterthe preview has already accumulated 148.6 million views only in its first 24 hours.

Despite the high number, the premiere does not place “Avatar 2” in the Top 10 most watched trailers in history in this period of time. However, the title surpassed others at the box office, such as “Black Widow” with 116 million, and “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” with 112 million.

The site also reported that according to Disney and 20th Century Studios, about 23 million of teaser of the new film came from China, an important market for Hollywood films.

The plot of “Avatar: The Way of Water” will feature the returns of Jake Sully (Sam worthington) and neytiri (Zoe Saldana) in the role of parents and living in a place totally unknown to them. This is because in the initial plot, the lives of Sullys is interrupted when the RDA mining operation returns to Pandora, forcing Jake to take the family to “what is seen as a safe haven” on the reef.
