Johnny Depp’s lawyers asked on Tuesday, May 17, the truth of Amber Heard’s statement that Depp sexually assaulted him with a bottle of wine.
Amber Heard was asked most of the day after giving his testimony on the defamation suit presented by the actor.
Johnny Depp sued Heard in Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia over a December 2018 op-ed Heard published in The Washington Post, in which the actress described herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse” ‘.
Depp’s lawyers said the article defamed the actor even though his name was not mentioned. The trial is now in its fifth week.

In that fight Heard said he was sexually assaulted. Depp said he was the victim and that he lost the tip of his middle finger when Heard threw him a bottle of vodka.

Later Vasquez asked why Heard wrote a series of love notes to Depp in the months after the attack he says he experienced.
Heard said he thought Depp had hit the bottom after the match against Australia and that he was committed to staying sober. He said most of the attacks occurred while Depp was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The jury saw a documented statement Heard gave in 2016 about her divorce in which she apparently inadvertently admitted that she tipped the celebrity site TMZ about aspects of her early divorce proceedings.

Tillett Wright said that Depp’s personality became rude and paranoid when he used drugs or alcohol.
There were also statements about Heard’s $ 100 million counterclaim against Depp. The actress said Depp’s lawyer Adam Waldman insulted her when she said that Heard’s accusations are fictitious.
Amber Heard said those allegations affected her career, but Vasquez pointed to a series of negative articles about Heard that led to Waldman’s comments.
The jury also heard an audio recording of the verbal fight between the two actors in which each made insulting comments about his career. Heard laughed teasingly at Depp’s breakout role on the 1980s TV show 21 Jump Street.

Johnny Depp responded with a derogatory comment about Heard’s most popular role to date, shouting íAquaman! in a sarcastic way to discredit the superhero movie.
