The Paris Motor Show (of which BFMTV is a partner) returns to Paris this year, after being canceled in 2020 in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The fair will open its doors on October 17 Porte de Versailles and the organizers will reveal at the end of July the first manufacturers present in the fall. French manufacturers, new brands dedicated to hydrogen, what will be the novelties of this 2022 Paris Motor Show?
french stars
The Mondial is a special moment for French manufacturers, and among the French brands present: Renault. Of course, the manufacturer will highlight its new electric and hybrid models: Mégane E-Tech and Austral SUV. According to the indiscretions of elargusa concept derived from the R4, the mythical 4L, should also be presented at the Renault stand.
The Alpine brand, owned by Renault, will also be at the Paris Motor Show in mid-October, with in particular the renewed range of the A110. The brand will also offer a new bike at the fair, made with the specialist Lapierre. Another emblematic brand of the group, Dacia, will also be present at the Paris show.
Another French brand will be present at the World Cup, if we are to believe elargus:Peugeot. In particular, the manufacturer will be able to present its first coupé SUV, the 408, to the public. Another French brand from the Stellantis group will be present at the fair: DS, with the presence of the restyled DS7 in particular.
Newcomers to Hydrogen
Alongside the well-known national brands, a French newcomer will also appear at the fair. This is Hopium, the hydrogen car brand of pilot Anthony Lombard. Hydrogen will be one of the strong themes of this fair since another manufacturer that uses this type of technology will also present its first model.
This is NAMX, a European-African manufacturer that is working on an SUV powered by this technology. The vehicle’s recharging system is also unique in that the vehicle can carry hydrogen capsules, making recharging easy.
new brands
Among the manufacturers already confirmed at the fair, the Swiss brand Microlino will present its small electric car at the fair, a 21st century version paying homage to the Isetta. Another novelty on the European market: GMW. This Chinese group, already present at the Munich Motor Show last year, will present the Ora in Paris, a small, rounded car that is also 100% electric.
