Ferrari’s CEO has indicated that the Italian brand will raise its prices early next year.

Difficult to escape from inflation in the car. In what is new, but also in what is opportunity, prices have skyrocketed lately, in a context of scarcity of raw materials and components, such as the famous semiconductors.

Limit delivery growth

And this also concerns the most prestigious brands. Ferrari Chief Executive Benedetto Vigna said last week that the Italian marque would raise prices early next year, notes Bloomberg.

The manager commented on the flourishing results of the brand in the first half. Faced with a record level of orders and longer delivery times, Benedetto Vigna also specified that the manufacturer will seek to curb the growth of its production starting next year. A way to cultivate rarity, which also makes all your success, and to stay within reasonable delivery times for your customers.

No details were given about the extent of this price increase. Currently, the Ferrari range starts from the Roma, from 198,265 euros (without penalties).

SUV and change to electric

Like Lamborghini and its Urus SUV, Ferrari will introduce its first such model, the Purosangue, in September. But where the Urus represents about 60% of the sales of its eternal rival, the Prancing Horse brand had specified that this SUV could not represent more than 20% of its production.

If this Purosangue will be powered by a V12, in the purest Ferrari style, the Italian brand is also heavily committed to electricity, with three hybrid models already in its range and a first 100% electric car planned for 2025.
