With inflation of 83% on an annual basis, which risks closing the year above 100%, and while wages continue to “run after”, November comes with increases that will have a strong impact on the pockets. Water, electricity and gas, on the rise in the penultimate month of the year due to the removal of subsidies launched by the Government. But there will be other increases: Methane, domestic employees, expenses and rents. The increase in provincial tolls and advances remains for December.

Waterfall

After last month’s hike, expected to be the last hike of the year, AYSA starts removing subsidies in November, as planned.

In this way, high-level residential users they will stop receiving the benefit in its entirety starting the following month starting next Tuesday. The average bill for this group, after tax, is $ 841 to $ 2,099 for June 2023.

The segmentation of energy tariff concessions was started and the first reduction was reflected in October. Now, starting next Tuesday, November 1st, the second step will come into effect.

For some users, the increase of this service will be double, between the removal of subsidies and the increase in the rates of Edenor and Edesur. The latter is due to the fact that distributors will have a complete tariff review and they will be able to recompose their amounts to the point of paying their debts with Cammesa. The decision to proceed with new tariffs for Edenor and Edesur was included in the Budget project.

The removal of subsidies is national. Cammesa, the wholesale system administrator, has decided that customers who do not register in the grant registry they lose discounts for the electricity they consume.

Like this, 30% of households will have a 20% increase in how much they pay for electricity between October and November. And between December and January, the increase will be 40%. And between February and March, another 40%. Only next year will they start paying the full rate.

Since October, customers can already see in the tickets if they keep the subsidies The cards already indicate which category customers will have in November, when the October subsidy removal will apply.

Gas

According to official data, in the case of natural gas, about 4.1 million families will no longer benefit from the reduced rate out of a total of 9.7 million registered customers.

For gas, the segmentation scale indicates users across the country will see a 50% increase in November compared to September.

Employees of private houses

In August, the National Commission for Work in Private Houses reached a salary agreement for domestic staff, the readjustment was agreed in four sections. Now, in the penultimate month of the year, the last stretch arrives and the parties will reopen the dialogue in the month that begins on Tuesday.

The union managed a 36% increase divided into four sections of 9% each, spread over the months of August, September, October and November.

For workers in the fifth category, the most in demand on the market, the wages were as follows:

  • $ 48,524 in August
  • $ 52,531 in September
  • $ 56,537 in October
  • $ 60,544 in November

The other categories will receive increases in the same proportion.

Rentals

The update that some tenants need to make this month on their contracts it will reach 73% per year. That’s nearly six percentage points higher than the previous month, in which tenants suffered increases of 67.3%.

Expenses

The Argentine Federation of Private Renters and Construction Workers (FATERYH) signed a new wage agreement on October 21, 2022. With this agreement, salary increases of 16% are planned for the month of October 2022, 16% for the month of November 2022 and 16% for the month of January 2023.

In addition to these increases, the share of the salary bonus subscribed on 5 July 2022 must also be taken into account. The total amount of this bonus is $ 134,000, which will be paid in 7 installments: two installments of $ 12,000 (August and September), two for $ 18,000 (October and November), two for $ 24,000 (December and January), and one for $ 26,000, in February 2023.

Methane

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will increase by 1 peso starting from Monday 1 November. In this way it will be sold for an average of $ 47 at service stations in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA).

The latest increase of CNG had been in August. I climbed it it ranged between 2 and 3 pesos, depending on the region. This is still the cheapest fuel.

Provincial private schools

Private schools benefiting from state aid will increase its share this month 6.5%. It has been licensed by the government Axel Kicillof for November and December and will reach 1.2 million students attending state-funded institutions.

As confirmed to Clarín by official sources and institutes, parents will receive notifications with the new values: 6.5% on average from next month and 10.7% in December.

This is the fifth time that the General Management of Schools has allowed a tariff change during the year.

Taxi

The taxi fare in the city of Buenos Aires will increase by 20% in November, as the September price drop had already increased by 30%. Both increases are in addition to that recorded in April, which was 20%.

These increases were confirmed by the Government with a publication in the Official Gazette in early September. It had already been dealt with in a public hearing, mandatory but not binding requirement for the implementation of the measure.
