The Ministry of Energy has called a public hearing to discuss natural gas prices

The Energy Ministry convened a public hearing on Tuesday “in order to evaluate and deal with the natural gas prices as regards the part of the price which the State may collect at its own expense”.

According to Resolution 771/2022, published in the Official Gazette with the signature of the head of this body, Flavia Royón, the appointment “will be held virtually on December 6, 2022, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, from 10:00 am, from the platform ‘Webex’”.

“Consequently, only those who register as ‘speaker’ will request registration, since those who intend to participate visually could do so via streaming”, the regulation clarifies.

In this sense, it has been reported that “the interested speakers must register in advance and up to two (2) administrative working days before the public hearing is held, through the registration form available on the website of the Ministry of Energy, and must accompany the documentation they deem relevant.

According to the document, “any human or legal person, public or private, who invokes a simple, widespread or collective interest can participate”.

The virtual mode, it was exposed in the introduction, was determined «to guarantee a broad participation of federal citizens of the entire national territory” because “the democratization of the participatory procedure guaranteeing equal access”.
