After knowing the December inflation rate, equal to 5.1%, and the annual figure for 2022, equal to 94.8%, Sergio Massa argued that “a downward path” was traveled, but not enoughIn this sense, and considering that he was referring to the poultry sector, he said: “Hopefully everyone has the right egg to lower it.”

The Minister of Economy spoke during an act in the province of Entre Ríos, where he too ruled out a possible presidential candidacy just to compete in the next elections.

“Today ends an economic year, today we saw the national inflation number for the last year, for the month of December”, He advocated and described the price hike as “no more and no less than the fever of a sick economy”.

“The challenge that we all have, me as the main responsible, but all Argentines, is to encourage us to bring down the fever and face this disease in which we repeatedly fall,” said in the act which was also attended by Governor Bordet .

To lower inflation, said the economy minister, we need “fiscal order, discipline, teamwork, setting goals and not changing them in the face of adversity”.

He also said it is necessary “a responsible vision of the entire political, entrepreneurial and trade union leadership”.

Then, he took advantage of a reference to the province’s poultry sector, which he clarified that it produces not only chickens but also eggs, to appeal to a pun and ask for work to bring down inflation.

“Let’s hope that in Argentina we all have the eggs well laid to tackle inflation and grow our economy”Massa harangued.
