The official made brief statements on the December inflation rate released this Thursday, which marked a 5.1% increase from the previous month and, in annual terms, a 94.8% increase.
“The goal Massa set for himself (when he took office) was that inflation was not in the triple digits at the end of the year and that we consider a reduction of one figure every 75 days”, recalled Cerruti.
As a result, he said, “We understand that this goal is being achieved.”
The official spokeswoman did not elaborate on the matter, as she herself clarified, because the economy minister will later speak at a press conference he held in Entre Ríos.
In that province, Massa was brusque when referring to the price increase: “I hope all have well-laid eggs lower it”.
