Due to the increase in contributions from the monotributary and according to the private employees in november the the number of people with registered work in the country as a whole has reached 13,018,100 peoplethe top tier of the Ministry of Labor series based on social security numbers.
In seasonally adjusted terms, formal employment shows a positive change of 0.4% compared to October (47.8 thousand people more). Compared to the same month of the previous year, the registered work grew by 5.1% (630.8 thousand).
Once again, the largest monthly increase in employment was that of single-tax payers (31,400), a method to which companies resort more frequently in order not to make employees effective. “Only this method explains two-thirds (66%) of the net growth in the number of workers with jobs enrolled in the social security system”
Private wage earners grew by 12,000, followed by the public sector (7.9,000). On the other hand, the number of workers included in the social monotribute decreased (4.7 thousand).
In the year-over-year comparison, the total number of employed workers increased by 3.4% (331 thousand workers). This increase was driven by the private sector (4.5%, 269.3 thousand people) and, secondly, by the growth of the public sector (1.8%, 58.9 thousand more jobs). Employment in private homes shows a positive variation of 0.6% compared to the same month of the previous year (just 3,000 employees).
Self-employment as a whole grew by 11.6% (299.5 thousand employees) driven by the uni-tributary categories. For its part, the number of taxpayers to the self-employed scheme presented a moderate increase (1.3%).
The Labor report states that “from January 2021 to November 2022, positive rates of change in recorded private employment are observed. This dynamic of the formal employee labor market has made it possible to exceed the level of employment in force before the start of the pandemic” which is 4.4% higher than the value in February 2020 (262.9 thousand people).
As of November 2022, the average gross nominal wage in the private sector was $203,764 and grew 88.2% from the same month a year earlier. For their part, half of workers made less than $155,494 and increased by 86.8% in the interannual comparison. Interannual inflation in November was 92.4%. It represents a decline in average real wages of 2.2%.
The sectors of activity that showed the greatest monthly dynamism were: construction (0.9%), mines and quarries (0.8%), fishing (0.8%), trade and repairs (0.4%), industry (0.3%) and hotels and restaurants (0.3%).
On the other hand, social and health services (0.1%) and agriculture, breeding, hunting and forestry (0.5%) decreased. For their part, some sectors have remained stable, as is the case of community, social and personal services; Transport, storage and communications; and Real estate, commercial and rental activities.
