The Arcor Group together with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Nation, presented the eighth edition of Innovation Award to “recognize innovative ideas for the food industry”. In this edition, the company reported in a press release, the prize will be $3,500,000 and the Special Mention from the Arcor Foundation will be $1,500,000.
This initiative invites, every two years, entrepreneurs, researchers, SMEs and non-profit organizations to present innovative scientific and/or technological projects for the food sector.
The purpose of the Award is to support research projects and/or technological developments in the food industry that have an impact on society; promote an innovative culture that leads to greater productivity and competitiveness in the food sector, as well as the improvement of living conditions and the social situation of communities; recognize and stimulate the entrepreneurial talent and attitudes that allow the integration of new processes and/or products, the addition of value and the technological differentiation; Promote and rationalize technology transfer between the scientific, technological and productive sectors.
Those interested in participating must present their projects in one or more of the following categories: Food technology, Technologies applied to agriculture, Environment – sustainable containers and packaging, Technologies applied to finance (Fintech), Internet of Things (IOT).
