Due to the Minimum, Vital and Mobile Wage (SMVM) increase, 1,200,000 retirees and retirees earning the minimum wage ($58,665) and retired with 30 or more years of effective contributions, without resorting to the moratorium, will have an increase of $7,215 in April and $11,455 in May. These amounts are added to the $15,000 bonus they will receive in those months.

These additional ones are because the article n. 5 of law 27.426, approved in December 2017, specifies that pensioners and pensioners “with 30 or more years of service with actual contributions” will charge “a monetary supplement until a pension claim is reached equal to eighty-two per cent (82%) of the value of the Minimum Living and Mobile Wage”.

In April, the SMVM rises to $80,342. 82% ($65,880) is above the minimum retirement ($58,665) at $7,215. In May, the SMVM is $85,512 and 82% is $70,120, which is $11,455 more than the minimum retirement of 58,665.

Then in June the payment of these differences will depend on pension mobility, because that month corresponds to an increase in assets for all pensioners and retirees. And the minimum pension would have an increase and that difference may or may not disappear or more.

In June, the SMVM climbs to $87,987. 82% represent $72,149.

Since this transitional bonus was approved, it was paid in January-May and July-November 2018; in August and October-November 2019, in October and November 2021, in August, in October, November and December 2022 and in January and February 2023.

Retirees and retirees with higher salaries they do not receive this surcharge nor the bonus up to $15,000 which covers those charging up to 2 minimum wages.

It is the retirement and retirement sector that has suffered the greatest decline in the face of inflation because, like the rest, It had a 19.5% loss during the government of Mauricio Macri. Then in 2020 he received increases below the minimum, and in 2021, 2022 and so far in 2023 he did not receive any of the bonuses that were granted to pensioners and pensions with lower salaries.

The increase in the minimum wage also has an impact on the “Potenciar Trabajo” programmes. (just over a million people) earning half the minimum wage e “Accompany” (35,000 people), mainly women and people from the LBGTI+ collective in situations of gender-based violence, who receive a minimum wage for 6 consecutive months.

It also affects the top 90% of the RIPTE (formal salaries) to fix pay increases for prepaid affiliates with net incomes of less than 6 SMVM. And in registered monthly or day workers who earn less than the monthly or hourly minimum wage. And indirectly as a reference to unregistered or informal workers.
