According to the requirement, to which he had access clarionthe federal judge of La Plata, Nicolás Kreplak (who surrogates, i.e. temporarily replaces a court of Lomas de Zamora) intends collect the documentation of the headquarters of the distribution company to establish the reasons for more than 477 cuts that have affected thousands of consumers in Buenos Aires.

The complaint was filed in mid-February by the Ombudsman of the Province, Guido Lorenzino. A week ago, after that presentation, Cecilia Incardona, head of federal prosecutor no. 2, had required a series of experimental measurements.

He considered that Edesur’s action “constitutes the offense of obstruction of the electricity supply services, provided for and punished by article 194 of the penal code, it being understood that a more serious crime could be configured, for which it is advisable to prepare a summary for its investigations”.

Now Kreplak has accepted the request and from this Thursday the personnel of the Federal Police collect the documentation from a commercial office in Ezeiza; another office in Monte Grande, part of Esteban Echeverría; another from Lomas de Zamora and an office located in the San Telmo area, in CABA.

“It’s a warrant with a search grant,” explained the technicality of the procedure in the La Plata judge’s office. It means that the police have the power to request documentation. And if they don’t want to give it to you, they are allowed to take her away by force.

The service provider is under heavy pressure from national authorities, as in the midst of the severe heat wave that hit the metropolitan region, there were up to 110,000 users without electricity in the GBA and autonomous city.

This week, Economy Minister Sergio Massa authorized an “intervention” in the company run by Italian capital. He appointed the mayor of Avellaneda, and former Minister of Habitat, Jorge Ferraresi, as controller.

Almost in parallel, that of the National Electricity Regulatory Agency (ENRE), asked the Justice to prevent the departure from the country of nine executives who make up the management of the Edesur company.

The presentation was made by the head of the agency, Walter Martello, in the case being processed in Comodoro Py, in the court in charge of Julián Ercolini. It’s another legal process against the company. In this case, why does the Government believe that Edesur “has intentionally lost its operational capability” and for this he accuses his top management of “deliberately whipping” the electricity service, hit during the last heat wave that occurred in March and which left thousands of users in the dark.
