“The most challenging thing for me is that you need to move to a multi-currency regime based on a Mandatory legal tender digital currency for traceability ahead,” Capitanich said.

In an interview on AM 750 radio, Cristina Kirchner’s former chief of staff spoke of it as a possible solution to the “serious problem of evasion, avoidance and major currency settlement problem“.

Capitanich gave the interview as part of a tour he is making in the province of Buenos Aires to present his book “Argentina deserves more”, in which he proposes “an integral government plan”.

However, speaking of candidacies and emphasizing the official internal party, the Chaco leader maintained that Cristina Kirchner is the “leader” of the Frente de Todos and “should be the candidate” for the presidency in the next elections.

Capitanich warned that “first you must seriously discuss a government plan and the formation of a team suitable enough to carry it out”.

The provincial president maintained that “in Argentina one must be extremely humble because no one has the solution to all the problems” and proposed “to hold an open debate in assembly mode so that Peronism and the entire national and popular movement must then build the necessary leadershipon the basis of existing electoral instruments”.

“Let’s not waste time on superstructural agreements because we must generate coherent debates that lead to a government plan with measures that we can present and convoke the majority of the electorate,” he said.

And he added: “At the front, everyone we should be open to popular and democratic debate. All actors should converge on this debate.”
