The Ministry of Tourism has made it official the fourth version of the Pre-Trip, the official program that promotes the return of 50% of tourist expenses within the country.
The area officials directed by Matías Lammens have signed an agreement with the hotel rooms to set the benchmarks in the different accommodation categories and stipulated an increase of about 40% compared to the previous edition, October and November last year.
In addition, another agreement has been signed with reference prices that do not include air transport for tour packages offered by travel agencies. In this case there won’t be a “ceiling” on prices, it will just be a tool for tourists to know the suggested values that don’t include air travel.
The list with all the data of the new version will be uploaded to the web www.previaje.gob.ar from the beginning of the fourth stage. Supervision will be entrusted to the Secretary of Commerce and housing that does not comply will be sanctioned, warned the portfolio in charge of Lammens.
Among the chamber of commerce representatives who closed the price deals were Gustavo Hani (CAT); Rafael Miranda and Florencia Landívar (FEHGRA); Andrés Deya (FAEVYT), Roberto Amengual (AHT) and Daniel Prieto (AHRCC).
Tourists who are planning departures for the upcoming bridges should take advantage of the purchase in the coming days The period of validity of the trips will be for the months of May and June. During this period, it is estimated that the greatest demand will be concentrated the four-day long holidays from 25 to 28 May and from 17 to 20 June.
In this edition of PreViaje up to $100,000 will be reimbursed for expenses made in stores participating in the program. This is 30% more than established in the previous edition.
In most cases, the reimbursement of money spent by travelers will be 50%. Even if it will rise to 70% for those who are PAMI affiliates (retired).
The budget allocated by the Ministry of Tourism for the program is approx $15 billion. In its first three editions, the initiative was used by 6 million people, with an injection of almost 200 billion dollars, according to data processed by Tourism.
The list of maximum rates for hotels included in the Pre-Trip 4 program includes hotel categories from 1 and 2 stars to 5 stars.
