Due to the Minimum, Living and Mobile Wage (SMVM) increase in June (increase from $84,512 to $87,987), 1,200,000 retirees and retirees that month will charge the new minimum credit ($70,938) and have retired with 30 or more years of effective contributions, without resorting to moratoriums, will have an increase of $1,211.
This amount is added to the $15,000 bonus they will receive that month. Total is $87,149 ($70,938 + 15,000 + 1,211).
This surcharge is due to article n. 5 of law 27.426, approved in December 2017specifies that retirees and retirees “with 30 years or more of benefits with actual contributions” they will charge “a monetary supplement up to the achievement of a pension credit equal to eighty-two percent (82%) of the value of the Vital and Mobile Minimum”.
In June, the SMVM climbs to $87,987, according to Job Resolution No. 5/2023. 82% ($72,149) will be above the minimum retirement ($70,938) of $1,211.
Then in July and August the payment of that difference could increase if the value of the SMVM were to rise further.
In April that plus was $7,215 and in May it was $11,455. Now in June those benefits are without effect and They will receive $1,211, plus the $15,000 bonus.
Since this transitional bonus was approved, it was paid in January-May and July-November 2018; in August and October-November 2019, in October and November 2021, in August, in October, November and December 2022 and in January and February and in April and May 2023.
Retirees and minimum wage earners and retirees recourse to moratoriums does not make that plus pay. In June, they’ll raise the new minimum amount of $70,938 plus the $15,000 bonus, for a total of $85,938 versus the $73,665 they’re charging this May. An increase of 16.7%,
Retirees and pensioners with higher salaries do not receive this integration or the bonus up to $15,000, which covers those earning up to 2 minimum wages.
It is the pensioners and pensioners sector that has had the greatest decline in the face of inflation because, like the rest, it had a 19.5% loss during the government of Mauricio Macri. Then in 2020 he received increases below the minimum, and in 2021, 2022 and so far in 2023 he did not receive any of the bonuses that were granted to pensioners and pensions with lower salaries.
