The airlines dedicated to spraying and planting fields, fighting fires, medical flights and private jets grouped in the Chamber of Companies of Non-scheduled Air Transport (Cetanr) have sent a statement warning the dramatic situation that puts “Danger” to the sector before “inability to import inputs, spare parts and services for the daily operations of private and healthcare air transport companies”.
“The inability to import inputs, spare parts and services for the day-to-day operation of private and medical airlines endangers civil aviation. We are in a very critical situation“, the agency warned.
The president of Cetanr, Guillermo Della Rodolfa, explained that the obstacles to imports range from the payment of “spare parts for aircraft and helicopters, operational materials, inputs and services to maintenance subscriptions mandatory for operational safety standards, as well as the difficulty paying for simulator shifts and even fuel abroad, clearly putting the continuity of operations and companies that support the sector at risk,” he stressed.
In this sense, he underlined: «This, clearly, it undermines the continuity of operations and businesses that support the industry.”
“We do not want to see ourselves in the dilemma of having to suspend flights, that endanger the lives of patients, who require transplants, the lives of children who are transferred from within the country to be treated in highly complex public and private hospitals,” Della Rodolfa said in a statement.
Despite the complaint, sources of the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) have warned this newspaper that after a meeting with the Ministry of the Economy in which it was asked to clarify some issues necessary to operate (such as aviation insurance, the import of spare parts and maps) made more flexible. ); “It’s already guaranteed.”
However, consulted by Clarín, Della Rodolfa insisted “There are companies that present protection appeals” and in response they receive that “is that there are no dollars to transfer by plane”.
“We are not listened to or cared for”he stated commenting that the body he presides over has sent notes to the ministries of Economy, Transport and Security.
The manager indicated that, in light of this scenario: “The private air fleet is on the verge of collapse. For this we need to be listened to and that concrete measures are taken, that some officials remove the earphones from their ears. The industry we represent is in critical condition.”
