On Tuesday the government made official the $55,000 bonus that will be paid this month to those receiving the minimum pension, as well as the 100% increase in the amount of universal child allowance (AUH).
“We will double the universal child allowance and increase the food allowance by 50%”the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, had stated.
Both measures were published in the Official Journal through decrees 116 and 117, respectively, signed by President Javier Milei, by the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse; and the Minister of Human Capital, Sandra Pettovello.
As regards the bonus for pensioners, it was specified that “for those holders who, for the sum of the assets of all their current benefits, receive an amount less than or equal to 105,712.61 dollars, the aid will be equivalent to 55,000 dollars” and for “those recipients who, in the sum of all their current benefits, receive an amount greater than the amount of $105,712.61, the aid will be equal to the necessary amount until the limit of $160,712.61 is reached.”
It is clarified that it will apply “to the holders of contributory pension benefits under the responsibility of ANSeS, granted pursuant to law 24.241, its amendments and additions, the previous general national regimes and their amendments, the repealed special regimes, or by the former Funds or Provincial and municipal social security institutions whose regimes have been transferred to the State, whose mobility is governed by article 32 of Law no. 24,241 and the benefits of the regime established by decree no. 160/05”.
The measure arrives “the beneficiaries of the Universal Pension for the Elderly, established by article 13 of Law no. 27.260 and its amendments; to beneficiaries of non-contributory pensions for old age, invalidity, mothers of 7 children or more and other non-contributory pensions and ex gratia pensions”.
“The amount of the universal allowance for dependent children of social protection, the allowance for children with disabilities, as well as the pregnancy allowance for social protection, established in Article 2 of the “Resolution of the NATIONAL SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION N 223 of 28 November 2023,” establishes the standard made official this Tuesday.
With the increase of ANSeS Assignments and Food Cards, The amounts are as follows:
- Pregnancy benefit: $66,057 ($33,000 Alimentar Card and $33,057 allowance).
- AUH with one child: $66,057.
- AUH with two children: $117,864 ($51,750 Alimentar Card and $66,114 allowance).
- AUH with three children: $167,421 ($68,250 Alimentar Card and $99,171 allowance)
From Pregnancy benefit (AUE) paid by ANSeS, the beneficiaries will pass to raise $41,322.
In the meantime, for the beneficiaries resident in the provinces of Patagoniathat assignment will disappear at $53,720.
