Only 16% of Argentines love what they do. And the number of people who say they like their job has fallen from 66 to 43 percent in a year, according to a survey conducted by the job portal Bumeran. In other countries in the region, workers have a closer connection to their employment: In Ecuador, 29% say they are in love with their job; in Peru 26% and in Chile 19%.

“The majority of people, 75%, would continue to work even if they did not have the economic need to do so. THE job dissatisfaction It does not originate, therefore, in the idea of working but in characteristics of your current job”, explains Federico Barni, CEO of Jobint, parent company of Bumeran.
“Salaries, at 30%, stand out as the main reason for the negative appreciation; at a time when we are seeing depreciation week after week,” adds the manager.
Behind the paycheck, the reason people don’t like their jobs is because work place (24%); 18% say they don’t like what they do at all; 15% explain that it is not the ideal job; 10% believe that their work not only makes no contribution to the organization, but also to society; and 3% would never have imagined working in something like this.
Those who hate their jobs the most, with 37%, they belong to the age group of from 31 to 40 years old, while those most in love with their work, with 30%, are people between 41 and 50 years old.
When people are asked how they would work, 27% say they would do it with greater freedom regarding timetables; 24% would create their own organization or business; 20% with Less pressure and enjoy what they do more; 18% as before; AND 11% would leave their current job to do what they really enjoy.
