Saving distance, we can say that in April the same thing happens with the owners of the most brilliant Argentine companies who gather in a very exclusive forum at Llao Llao in Bariloche. The date chosen is linked to the autumn climate which allows walks along the banks of the Nahuel Huapi and, why not, the possibility of friendships and businesses being born as happens in Sun Valley, a source of inspiration.

The domestic initiative emerged in 2011 by Eduardo Elsztain, owner of almost all the shopping centers, some of the most emblematic properties in the country and thousands of hectares. That year a different story began to be written in Bariloche. The city was reborn from the ashes of the Puyehue volcano and Elsztain had summoned a group of businessmen to LLao Llao, some from traditional industries and others from brand new companies located on the technological frontier. He did it with the intention of sharing knowledge. And also, to build bridges with new generations of entrepreneurs.

The event has grown from year to year and brings together difficult figures such as unicorn leaders who mix with scientists, members of social organizations, trade union leaders and many economists.

In recent years, especially in election years like 2023, there has been a procession of politicians questioned by the participants. The Forum has strict confidentiality rules and a very strict protocol that allows these conversations. “with your pants off.”

But this time there will be no politicians: They leave the field free to Javier Milei who closes the Forum.. It is not the first time that the President has participated: he had already done so last year during the electoral campaign and, judging by the tweets of many present, he had won them over. The strongest support was and continues to be that of Marcos Galperin. Milei has a crowd in that group supporting him.

The activity begins on Wednesday 17th at midday with lunch and continues until Goodbye Friday 19th with another meal and conversation with Milei.

There is full assistance from the entrepreneurs. They are, among others, Galperin, co-founder and CEO of Mercado Libre, Marcos Bulgheroni, PAE; Agustín Otero Monsegur and Carlos Miguens from the San Miguel citrus company; Federico Braun, of Anonima; Martín Migoya and Guibert Englebienne, from Globant, Karina Román, from the logistics company that bears their surname, the entrepreneur Luciano Nicora, Roberto Murchison, from the logistics group; Sebastian Bagó, of the Bagó laboratories and Veronica Andreani, of the logistics company Andreani and Andy Freire, of the investment bank Softbank.

From what has emerged, this time they will give particular attention to the international context, from the hands of prominent foreign analysts, not only because of the prolonged Russian invasion of Ukraine, but also because of the scale of the war in the Middle East after the terrorist attack on Israel on October 7.

But those who frequent this Forum fail to realize that the most interesting thing is what arises in personal relationships.

Over there The Argentina Debate is born who promoted and implemented the Law of Debates between candidates in the elections.

Also, Argentinians for Education, promoted by the founder of Despegar, Roberto Souviron. And the Endeavor Foundation, the driving force for promoting high-impact startups, has gained a lot of traction.

Of course, although the hotel is 50% owned by Elsztain and the other half by the Sutton family, owners of the Alvear group, each participant will have to cover their own expenses except special guests. In this case, Javier Milei.
