Banco San Juan launches an environmental care program

Banco San Juan has launched an action program for environmental care based on the concept of corporate sustainability and in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which seeks to generate a positive impact on the entire community based on an awareness of caring for the environment.

The Bank, together with the Petersen Group Foundations and the Secretary of State for the Environment and Sustainable Development of San Juan, has signed a framework agreement through which a series of actions have already been implemented, highlighting the participation of employees of the financial institution and volunteers of its Foundation.

The Sustainability Plan provides for the training of all Banco San Juan staff on the separate collection of waste at source; all digital procedures and with the use of the graphometric system; and implementation of various actions for the creation of strategic alliances with the public and private sectors, with the aim of recycling and reinserting the waste generated in the economic circuit.

In addition, it provides financing for the purchase of sustainable mobility in interest-free installments and with discounts with Banco San Juan credit cards for the purchase of electric bikes, motorcycles and skateboards. In addition to awareness actions for all employees of Banco San Juan and the volunteers of the Petersen Group Foundations, through visits to the environmental center of Anchipurac and the birth of the Banco San Juan de China Native Forest. In this way, progress is made in environmental care and in the separation of waste at source, among other issues.
