Both companies announced on Friday an agreement through which Georgalos will acquire the plant Mondelez production in the Victoria locality of Buenos Aires, San Fernando district and the traditional brand.
In addition to this label, the operation also includes the well-known candy brands Palitos de la Selva, Lengüetazo and Giraffe and Bazooka chewing gum.
Although the factory will be relocated, Georgalos will continue to produce some lines of chewing gum, candy and chocolates for Mondelez.

In a statement, both companies indicated that Georgalos will maintain continuity of work for all workers working at the Victoria plant.

Georgalos was founded in 1939. It produces sweets, chocolates and since 2014 also breakfast cereals, following the acquisition of General Cereals. In 2021, it added the Toddy and Zucoa brands to its portfolio, along with the cocoa powder plant that belonged to Pepsi, located in La Rioja.
Plus, it has its own supply of peanuts and its packaging materials through Poligraf, its San Luis-based packaging company.
It produces, distributes and markets the Flynn Paff, Nucrem, Namur, Full Maní and Tokke brands, among others.
In total, if you add the purchase of this factory, it has more than 1,800 employees, 6 factories and 3 distribution centers.
Among the company’s best-known products are Cadbury and Milka chocolates, Oreo cookies, Social Club, Cerealitas, Terrabusi, Tita, Shot, Rhodesia, Beldent, Halls sweets and Tang, Clight juices. Locally it has two industrial plants in Pacheco and Mercedes (San Luis)
