The activity of the Transavia company is again disrupted this Thursday. The flight crew strike that began on Wednesday continues, leading to the cancellation of 25% of the day’s flights, Reuters reports.
The SNPNC-FO, a non-representative minority union of flight personnel, which represents Transavia flight attendants and stewardesses, had called a strike on Sunday, July 13-17, to demand salary increases and denounce the working conditions of the crews.
For its part, the management said “it regrets this social movement that occurs at a time when air transport as a whole is barely recovering from an unprecedented crisis linked to Covid.
An agreement signed on Sunday
Air France’s low-cost subsidiary, however, signed an agreement on Sunday with the three other unions representing flight attendants. Specifically, it records the doubling of the customer satisfaction bonus, from 500 to 1,000 euros per year, and the increase in the amount of the transport bonus and the purchasing power bonus, which is equivalent to an “increase of the order of 5% for low wages”.
This agreement also provides “the improvement of working conditions in exhausting rotations and exceptional measures of purchasing power,” said a spokesman. Discussions on permanent salary increases will also start in early 2023.
