The turbulence continues for Transavia. The company’s activity will remain interrupted throughout the weekend due to a flight crew strike, started on wednesday.
The low-cost subsidiary of Air France plans to operate on Friday and Saturday at 70% of its capacity. This means that 30% of the flights are canceled in these two days, because of the social movement.
For Sunday, 75% of the flights must be provided, foresees the company, which wants to give visibility to the crossings for the weekend.
At the origin of this strike, the SNPNC-FO, a union however minority and not representative of the flight staff, which represents the Transavia stewardesses. He had called a strike from July 13 to 17 to demand wage increases and denounce the working conditions of the gangs.
Agreement with management
Air France’s low-cost subsidiary, however, signed an agreement on Sunday with the other three unions representing flight attendants. Specifically, it records the doubling of the customer satisfaction bonus, from 500 to 1,000 euros per year, and the increase in the amount of the transport bonus and the purchasing power bonus, which is equivalent to an “increase of the order of 5% for low wages”.
This agreement also provides “the improvement of working conditions in exhausting rotations and exceptional measures of purchasing power,” said a spokesman. Discussions on permanent salary increases will also start in early 2023.
