Armor-Lux will once again dress SNCF agents

This is an important contract for the French clothing manufacturer, since it deals with 250,000 pieces per year.

T-shirts, sweaters, cardigans, scarves, parkas, headdresses… The 24,000 SNCF Voyageurs and SNCF Gares & Connexions agents in contact with travelers will be dressed from head to toe by the famous French house Armor-Lux. The manufacturer was again chosen by the carrier for a contract of at least six years after the previous one that covered the period 2014-2022.

This is an important contract for the Breton clothing manufacturer since it involves 250,000 pieces per year for 120 references. Its amount was not specified.

“The new clothing will incorporate the expected improvements for greater comfort at work: better thermal input for parkas and the incorporation of a very cold parka model; new materials that are more pleasant to wear for shirts, more comfortable and durable for sweaters and vests, etc. This new contract marks the desire of SNCF Voyageurs to strengthen the production location in or near France”, explains SNCF in a press release.

80% of parts made in France

In fact, “almost 80% of the parts (are) manufactured in France or in the rest of the Euromed area (Portugal, Morocco, Tunisia), a rate almost 13 points higher than the previous contract”, specifies the ‘operator .

SNCF is also willing to respect high CSR standards: certified fabrics, suppliers audited by an independent third party, environmentally conscious materials (recycled polyester, organic cotton, etc.), clothing that is 75% recyclable and 25% recoverable.
