“It is exciting after two years to see that the sector has never stopped and to be able to reopen the doors of the Rural Exhibition is a very important fact, not only for the SRA but for the entire sector.

In the absence of the National Minister of Agriculture, Julián Domínguez, at the inauguration of the traditional exhibition, Pino remarked: “There is no bother, there is the Secretary of Agriculture (Matías Lestani) obviously the government wanted to be present in this moment “.

Asked about the statements of the President of the Nation, Alberto Fernández and some members of the national government regarding the protest of the camp and the cessation of commercialization carried out on July 13, a measure which they considered “a political strike”, the head of the SRA expressed : “They are making a wrong reading, To say that the claim or appeal to the attention of the agricultural sector is partisan politics is completely wrong, they are looking at another channel“. And he suggested to the president “that confidence in the most competitive sector in Argentina“.

The moment he asked “that fair rulesthe field needs fair rules, we work and we will be able to express the full potential of the sector“.

In relation to the protest, Pino said: “We, as the liaison table, were filled with the expectation of having to give the national government an important wake-up call to tell them: gentlemen on this side we are not marching“. When asked about the actions that will follow the entities of the agricultural union, the leader indicated that they will evaluate it “day by day” based on “how the government will react to this request for attention”.

At the opening of the 134th Exhibition, the president of the SRA reviewed many of the demands of agriculture. On the one hand, he noticed it the unexpected income tax means that Argentina is not invested, something that is missing in the country. “From this this sector We say to the minister (of the national economy, Silvia Batakis): what happens when the losses are unexpected? The state that is always present when we sell our products, he is absent when we need himPino said.

As for the exchange rate gap, he felt that “it reduces the competitiveness of Argentine producers, it is even more disastrous than export duties, which obviously, as we have said, are illegal at the moment in Argentina”.

Regarding export quotas, he said: “We are convinced that the best way to work is without intervention. We understand that this government, when it comes to wheat, corn, meat, loves to work with that interventionism in which we disagree and we want it to be released to generate more production, more exports, more foreign exchange earnings and more jobs. which is what is needed in Argentina ”, underlined Pino.
