After the blue dollar rose by $ 100 since Martín Guzmán’s resignation from the Ministry of Economy, the head of the Federal Intelligence Agency, Agustín Rossi, blamed the former national official for the “brutal bank run” and has claimed that until his resignation he was “controlled”.

“I don’t remember the bullfights that lasted that long. Last week in Guzmán it seemed like we had everything under control, but Guzmán’s resignation again triggered instability “, Rossi pointed out in statements to FM Milenium.

At the end of a critical week due to heavy pressure on the foreign exchange market, the spy chief jokes: “Look at the paradox, because Guzmán, who for two and a half years said that one of his goals was to calm down and de- stress the economy, but his resignation hit the economy with a peak of stress that we have not seen since Mauricio Macri’s defeat at PASO in August 2019 ”.

“From the social point of view, from what I speak with the ministers responsible for those areas and with the governors, the truth is that I would say that the social question is rather contained“stressed the national official.

In this context, Rossi stressed that “the economy continues to function, the payment chain has not been cut and employment continues to be generated”. However, the former defense minister acknowledged that “inflation generates usury on wages “.

AMIA case: Rossi asked “to be very careful with the Mossad report”

The Federal Investigation Agency (AFI) controller felt that “we must be very cautious” with the Mossad report released this Friday in the New York Times regarding the evidence it can provide to the cause of the AMIA attack, and said that “now he must follow the judicial path”.

“I have read the New York Times report carefully for all that it means and the impact it could have if justice validates it from a procedural point of view,” said Rossi, asking “to be very cautious” about it.

In this sense, he considered that the investigation “must follow the judicial route” and added: “Surely, the judge and the prosecutor will ask Israel for evidence that could contribute to these cases”.

“If Israel sends the information, the judicial system will have to determine if this information has judicial validity. I prefer not to make assumptions because it is also a very sensitive issue,” he said.

A New York Times publication, based on an internal report by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad on the attacks perpetrated on the Israeli embassy in 1992 and on the Amia in 1994 in the city of Buenos Aires, stated that both attacks “were carried out by a secret unit of Hezbollah “, which did not have the collaboration of” Argentine citizens or assistance on the ground from Iran “.

The information contradicts the arguments concluded by the Argentine justice on the attack on the Jewish mutual society regarding a local link and Iranian collaboration in organizing the attack.
