454,000 conventional completions last year

Although their number logically fell in 2020, in the midst of a health crisis (-3.6%), it has increased again to a large extent in 2021 (+6.1%). 454,000 individual conventional breaks have been approved in the private sector, says a Dares study.

Construction, transportation, real estate

In detail, the increase in breaks affects almost all sectors of activity. It is particularly high in construction (+16%), transportation (+13.8%) and real estate (+13.6%). On the other hand, information-communication activities (-4.5%) and financial and insurance activities (-0.4%) fell.

Geographically, it is in Normandy (+12.6%), Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (+10.6%) and Pays de la Loire (+9.3%) where the increases are most marked. Finally, those between 30 and 39 years of age are the ones who have made the most contractual leave (33% of the total) ahead of those under 30 years of age (27%).

Note that, among executives, “their number continues to increase but at a slower pace (+1.6% in 2021 after +2.3% in 2020 and +10.0% in 2019),” underlines Dares. .
