The incorporated Secretary of Energy provisionally to the Beneficiaries’ Register of the Energy Contribution Access Register (RASE), as Level 2 residential users (low income), to people who benefit from the social rate. It did so with provision 3/2022 of the Undersecretary for Energy Planning published in the Official Gazette.
Last Wednesday, Energy issued Resolution 631/2022, which allowed Energy Planning “to, if deemed meritorious, timely and convenient, provide for incorporation disbursement of beneficiaries of the social tariff and equivalent as beneficiaries of level 2 energy subsidies “.
To this end, the Undersecretariat has requested the authorities granting the services of each national, provincial and municipal jurisdiction to lists of beneficiaries programs designed to favor users with less ability to afford the payment of public electricity services, generally called social tariffs.
In this regard, he stressed that a technical report of the National Directorate for Scenarios and Evaluation of Energy Projects of the Undersecretariat “justifies the incorporation of the RASE into Level 2 – Lower Income for the beneficiaries of the Social Rate, and for the beneficiaries of other provincial programs.” which are intended to benefit those users with lower payment capacity.
“In compliance with the distributive equity criterion that governs the segmentation scheme, its provisional incorporation is considered meritorious, opportune and convenient”, concluded the Energy Planning Area.
In any case, he stressed that “the incorporation envisaged here is provisional and does not exempt residential users of the services from the obligation to register with the RASE and to keep this information updated as their situation changes, nor will it prevent them from verifying the correction of the level assigned or requested through crossroads of information “.
