Prepaid cards accumulate an 87.9% increase in 10 months of 2022.
With amendments, the Government extended for the eighth time, until February 28, the reduction of employer contributions intended for Social Security for companies in the health sector, pursuant to decree 577/2022 published in the Official Gazette.
Therefore, the 100% exemption from employer contributions now comes to 75%.
It also modified the reduction in the tax rates of checks. From now on they will be 3.38 ‰ for credits and payables on bank current accounts and 6.76 ‰ for transactions relating to current accounts, compared to 2.50 ‰ and 5 ‰ which prevailed in the two months July-August.
The measures concern social works, private medicine companies, health insurance and mutual funds, hospitals, emergency services and transfers, diagnostic and therapeutic practices; integrated consultancy, diagnosis and treatment services, outpatient care by doctors and dentists, human health services and social services with or without accommodation.
With the outbreak of the pandemic, the government granted these benefits to the health sector while included them in the Repro, program that provides a subsidy for workers employed in the sector.
The foundations of the decree state that “by virtue of the evolution of the factors taken into consideration when implementing the aforementioned measures, it is appropriate to maintain, for a period of SIX (6) months, the differential treatment provided for by this provision for employers belonging to the health sector “.
Secondly, the fees of members of private medicine began to increase bimonthly based on an index prepared by the Superintendence of Health Services.
It is a Health Expenses Index that combines the evolution of drug costs (12.2%) according to a list prepared by the Ministry of Health, medical supplies (17.2%), fixed salaries for parity (52.4%) ) and overheads (18.2%), which is prepared by the Superintendency of Health Services. And it applies every two months.
This index debuted in August with an increase of 11.34% and 11.53% in October. It represents an 87.9% increase in 10 months of 2022.
With these increases, an average family plan for a married couple with 2 minor children could be between $ 50,000 and $ 70,000 per month.
