The origin of the party
The birth of the organization brings together relatives, friends and survivors of what is known as the Santa Fe tragedy, which occurred on October 8, 2006 when nine students and a teacher from the Colegio Ecos de Buenos Aires died in a clash between the ‘bus driven by someone with no experience or authorization to do so and a truck whose driver was drunk.
The bus returned from a solidarity trip to Quitilipi, in Chaco, one of the annual trips in which students brought food, supplies and clothing to marginalized communities.
“Since the accident occurred – Sáenz says – the closest relatives of the fatal victims have set to work to question the three powers of the state and we have begun to develop the modification of the national highway code that gave birth to law 26.363 in a very intense and lifelong learning process that strengthened us in a joint task “.
Diego Molina, another member of the ACC, indicated about the lawsuit generated by the tragedy that “after the return to Santa Fe there was a sentence in favor of our appeal to the Supreme Court, but the firm sentence continues to run for a old and messy system that wraps everything in an eternal darkness that is difficult to understand. “
