The speech of the president of the jury

Puma Rodríguez, as president of the jury, gave a short opening speech to explain that although each jury surely had a winner in mind, triumph always depended on the last performance. “The end is what matters. This is the end”, he fired. And Marcelo announced smiling: “They wanted pressure? Here they are.”

Facu Martínez, the 23-year-old participant from Rosario, was the one who was to open the stage. Singing say that and got 92 points from the judging panel. The second participant was Dámaris Sully, from San Martín. With energy welling up, the young woman sang shamelessY outscored it by three votes: reached 95 points.

The gala was full of emotions and the performances of the participants were of the highest level.

The third singer was Gaspar Gigena, the young man he had become a favorite of Tinelli and many of the judging panel. At just 18, Gaspar sang I miss you, I forget you, I love youbut his performance was not much appreciated: he scored only 70 points.

Then it was the turn of Lucía Belén Báez, from González Catán, with the theme Don’t think so important and reached 95 points.

So at the end of the first round, Gaspar Gigena was left out of the competition.

Already in the second stage of the final, Facu Martínez played Thorny heart and scored lower than in his first performance – 83 points.

After him, Dámaris Sully returned to the stage, giving an excellent interpretation of Loving woman, the song of the white mouse. Deeply moved, she finally hugged Marcelo, expressing her joy as well as his anxiety. Dámaris received 100 points and the entire judging panel stood up to applaud the singer, who couldn’t stop crying.

Lucía Belén Báez sang next That’s how it went. And when he finished, he allowed himself the luxury of a little revenge: “There’s someone who told me ‘you’re not going anywhere’, and here I am”.

It was the moment when Patricia Sosa -he too part of the jury- expressed his emotion and shared a memory with him: “In 1982, at the Buenos Aires Rock, they wanted me to get off the stage and they told me: ‘little musicians, get off’. I know very well how much it costs to be a woman and be able to earn a place”.

Báez scored 93 points and became a finalist.

Two women for one prize

“For the first time two women reach the final,” announced Marcelo Tinelli.

Dámaris started singing her last song first: I want to never see you again, popularized by Valeria Lynch. When she finished singing the last verse, she collapsed on the floor, she knelt down and burst into tears. “I can’t believe it,” Damaris said. And she continued: “I I thought I didn’t make it past the first round”.

Then came Lucía Belén Báez’s latest song. The mariachi – as he was known in the contest, as he is the voice of a group that makes Mexican music – sang i forgot againof mana

An excited Tinelli

“We are finishing the program. Before wrapping up and meeting the winner, I want to congratulate both of you, They are a true example of the power of women. Two wonderful women, with tremendous liver and ovaries”, Marcelo Tinelli told them before announcing the result of the public vote to the two participants who had reached the last stage of the competition.

And I add: “I would like them both to winI swear, I wish I could raise one arm with one arm and the other with the other, they won’t give me arms, but I wish it would happen,” the driver added ironically, who first had words of thanks for the rest of the participants , for the jury and for the channel authorities.

When it came to voting, the audience was energetic. “There is a winner,” announced Marcelo Tinelli, and as the two contestants waited in each other’s arms and anxiously, the driver announced that the winner was Dámaris Sully, with 63% of the public votewho chose live.
