At age 76, Sly has already tried several times to raise, realign and with Nemesis, which is not a comic but is about superheroes, the test or essay didn’t mean much to him. But Nemesis it found streaming audiences it didn’t have in theaters, because it wasn’t presented directly in theaters anywhere in the world.

It’s already strange that the original title is Samaritan and in Latin America they change to Nemesis.

Is that Samaritan and Nemesis were twin brothers, who had impressive strength. The neighbors began to see them badly, so much so that they waited for them to fall asleep to lock the doors and set fire to their house. The twins managed to escape, but not their parents, who were killed. From then on, Nemesis swore vengeance against everyone and Samaritan became a hero, helping the helpless.

Nemesis forged a mighty hammer out of his hatred for his brother, and it was the only weapon that could defeat him. But both, wearing different masks, ended up dying in an explosion, in a power plant, in an unclear situation, 25 years ago.

Stallion, with beard and wool cap

In the present, Joe Smith (Stallone, Sylvester with gray beard and blue knit cap) is a scarred, scratched and back-burned street sweeper who lives in an apartment building across from Sam, a 13-year-old Samaritan fan who is looked after by his mother . His father is dead.

And there’s a criminal, Cyrus (Pilou Asbaek, who was Euron Greyjoy in game of Thrones), who is a fan but of Nemesis, who using strange explosives wants to finish what Nemesis had started.

And this Nemesis fan gets, don’t ask how, his hammer and encourages the revolution of the masses, who call the defenseless and they start looting in Granite City.

There is little work in Granite City, a lot of unemployment. It also rains a lot.

Granite is Joe, apparently. He goes through walls, bullets don’t even tickle him, they can run him over with a car and after a while get up and fix his broken bones. Joe has a few other peculiarities. When he’s hurt, he gets hot. Literally: steam comes out of his body and he needs to cool off by throwing himself some water or… eating an ice cream.

Mashed potato Nemesis It’s the kind of movie in which an adult, elderly character (Stallone is called “old man” more than once) teaches little Sam about life. Well, Sam really wants Joe to teach him how to fight (“I want to be like you”) more than how to live, because whenever he’s faced with a problem, he always runs away.

Then Joe will say some maxims to Sam (who is not a Samaritan, but his name starts similarly). One of them paints the story: “If you don’t solve your problems, problems solve you.”

Director Julius Avery came from doing Operation Overlord (2018), a violent action film that was slightly better than this one. It’s not bad, but it’s also not like running to see it.
