The Spaniard, who appears from behind and with a distorted voice, participated in a program broadcast this Sunday 15 January and dedicated to the Plácido Domingo case, accused in an investigation published in 2019 by the Associated Press agency by various professionals from the work of sexual harassment in the United States for decades.

“He’s untouchable, he shouldn’t, but he is, that’s why I’m in the dark”, explains the Spanish artist during the TV show saved by La Sexta, who claims to have corroborated this active singer’s testimony with two other sources.

The artist said that Domingo kissed her on the mouth in full performance on stage Spainagainst her will, when the lights went out in one performance, while on another occasion he asked her to put her hand in the back pocket of the pants she was wearing, in front of witnesses.

“I wish there was a figure in theaters to watch over and to whom singers could ask for help. These things sometimes happen in front of everyone’s eyes,” he said.

This woman’s testimony was preceded by an interview with the American mezzo-soprano Patricia Wolfthe first interpreter who took the step to denounce Domingo with his first and last name.

“It was an open secret,” she said of situations like Domingo, whom she calls “a god” in the opera world, appearing in her dressing room knowing she was getting dressed, insinuating her or calling her at ungodly hours. , as well as speaking of her husband as her “rival”.

The investigation by the Associated Press was joined by another by the Los Angeles Opera, of which Plácido was director, and that by the American union of musical artists AGMA.

Its former vice president, baritone Samuel Schulz, spoke about the program an alleged half-million-dollar deal between the singer and the union not to publish an investigative report which would prove it 27 women, for 20 years, had been subjected to inappropriate behavior.

Schulz decided to leak the report to the press, which is why, according to what he assured, he no longer holds any managerial position in the union.

Also interviewed was the Uruguayan soprano Luz del Alba Rubio, who denounced having suffered some situations of harassment on her part which led to the assumption that he was above her, as she herself assured, and confessed that she had come to believe that it was ” the price I had to pay”.

However, he indicated that there came a time when he couldn’t take it anymore. “I can’t give a kiss if it doesn’t come to me, my singing, my preparation are not enough, do I have to do this to be worth it?”, She asked herself. A rejection that made it clear that Plácido Domingo didn’t take it well. “He went very badly, he told me he could have had a good race,” he complained.
