From the beer circuit to watching a theater show or simply contemplating the moon shining over the sea, there are nocturnal activities considered a must-do on any visit.

Always classics: bars and discos

Is there anything better than dancing by the sea? From electronic music to the liveliest classics, the proposals can be found in the areas of Playa Grande, Playas de Sur and Güemes. Depending on the time of year, they operate every day or only on weekends.

The most amazing After Beach; electronic parties with the best DJs in the world; beach recitals; Bowling alleys with live musicians or exclusive themed bars specializing in vermouth or cocktails are alternatives to Mar del Plata’s unmissable nightlife. There are also those with terraces and decks; places that have fig trees to play while having an exotic drink and even hidden bars!

beer circuit

We are talking about what is, indisputably, the National Craft Beer Capital: hundreds of flavors with distinctive textures, colors and aromas endorse this title that makes Mar del Plata proud.

For several years now, Mar del Plata breweries have established themselves in areas such as Güemes, Alem, Constitución, Yrigoyen or Córdoba street. For this reason, planning an afternoon/evening tour is a classic among young people: an experience with a certain mysticism in which friends, couples or simply those you know locally share an aperitif at the common tables and savor dishes that -in many cases- are they also do with beers.

Many of the more reputable breweries have a “signature rotary tap” that changes during different times of the year – this is called a “blackboard beer”. In this way they try different recipes that they make during the four seasons and which are limited editions. The data? All breweries and even some breweries offer “happy hour” between 6-9pm.

The gin route: a proposal that is here to stay

In recent times, Mar del Plata has also begun to stand out for the production, distribution and marketing of Artisanal Liqueurs: obviously tasting them at night has also become a very interesting proposition.

Today, a dozen distilleries make up this new gin route, which not only invites you to try this delicious drink in bars and factories, but can also be taken as one of the 100% made in Mar del Plata souvenirs.

The most popular venues for this new scene are located in the Güemes and Alem areas.

The best shows in the country

The night always invites you to discover scenic art in all its variations, throughout the year, with performances and recitals on billboards starring national and international personalities.

Something perfect? Organize an outing with friends or as a couple to discover the different proposals covering styles such as traditional Buenos Aires revue, comedy, music hall, one-person, children, humor, stand-up, monologues, variety, alternative, improvisation, dance, recitals and traditional drama.

the coast at night

Enjoying walks while contemplating the moon over the sea is priceless. Walking along the city’s seafront is an alternative chosen every evening by residents and tourists, regardless of the weather that Mar del Plata offers them.

Some just walk, but others travel by bicycle or car. Undoubtedly the attraction generated by the coast at night, with the soundtrack provided by the sea, is a fantastic alternative to do when the sun is no longer the protagonist.
