Lourdes Sánchez received a big surprise this Saturday when Chato Prada, her partner of more than 12 years, He proposed to her in the middle of the Corrientes carnival.

The dancer is from Corrientes, so every summer she participates in the carnival and this time she paraded in the Ara Berá apparta. When she’s done passing her, the manufacturer came up with Valentin, the child they have in common and a bouquet of flowers. She grabbed the microphone and approached Lourdes.

“There is your mother, your father, your brother. Valentine. I hope it goes well. Here I have a ring. I want to tell you that I love you. And I want to ask you if you want to marry me”Prada told him in the middle of the course, shocking his fiancée.

Soon after, Lourdes and El Chato shared a romantic kiss and he knelt as the entire course cheered the moment. “In the middle of the carnival it’s very exciting,” he said.

Then, the dancer shared the moment on her Instagram account where she has three million followers with a heartfelt reflection: “And after 12 years the best stage day that could be has arrived. We are married. I love you @elchatoprada I can’t believe it. An unforgettable night.”

Days earlier, Prada had expressed pride in its girlfriend in the networks. “Very, very proud of you my love. Corrientes Carnival is in your blood. I congratulate you because you are always tied to your origins. I love you,” he wrote on his networks.

The dancer had said that the producer did not want to get married but then he agreed and it was she who refused. “She proposed to me this year and I said no. After I dragged myself for years insisting let’s get married, now not anymore, because I care a lot about housekeeping and it’s very expensive to get married today,” she had said in 2021.

The romance between the dancer and the producer has gone through some crises. One of them was when El Chato told her he didn’t want to have children with her because he already has two from a previous relationship, Florencia and Julián.

“He didn’t want to be a father again. He was so denied that it was a reason for separation. Since he already has two grown children, he told me ‘I don’t want to be a father again’. So, I replied: ‘we’ve come this far’. My dream was to be a mother and if I couldn’t achieve it with the person I loved, I’d separate,” she explained.

“It was difficult. Your condition is the only one you want to hear at that moment. I was in love again… And disappointed, because it’s a nice plan to start a family, and it was painful not to be with the one she loved. I stood firm: ‘if I can’t be a mother, it’s not around here’. I was very aware of that and was very sure of what I wanted,” she added.

But after a few months, Chato returned and, a few years later, Valentin was born. “He realized it after two or three months, when he saw what he was missing. There he returned and accepted all the conditions. The reunion was good. But it’s not like I got pregnant to the touch — we continue to enjoy the couple a lot more,” she explained.
