a successful tour

Last year, as part of the celebration of 30 years of Love after lovetickets were sold out for eight concerts at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, three at the Rosario Municipal Anfiteatro, two at the Plaza de la Música in Córdoba, and dates in New York, Orlando, Miami, Madrid, Barcelona, ​​​​​​Venezuela, Montevideo and Santiago de Chile. And the tour continues by adding new dates.

Meanwhile, Fito works on the final details of the registration of a new version of the classic album, which began in Los Angeles, accompanied by Gustavo Borner and Diego Olivero. This new material will be released during the first half of 2023 and there will certainly be a first single before reaching Vélez.

It will be a current look at one of the most transcendent works of his career, considered among the most influential in Spanish-speaking popular music in recent decades.

“The idea is to transform it, revisit it and do new things to it,” said the artist.

Among the names he sought to incorporate into versions of those classics were references to the current urban scene such as Bizarrap, Dillom, Nathy Peluso and Ca7riel.

“I wanted to call David Byrne, Elvis Costello, or Caetano Veloso or Chico Buarque, Rubén Rada,” he listed, also adding international figures to the ongoing project.

On June 1, 1992 it went on sale Love after love, which sold 30,000 copies in two days and another 20,000 in one week. By the end of that year, it had sold 175,000 units and, in mid-1993, went quadruple platinum.

In the same year, Fito gave more than 100 performances and presented it with two concerts at the Vélez Sarsfield stadium, where more than 70,000 people attended, on April 24 and 25,

Furthermore, in December 1993 he again called a concert at the Vélez Sarsfield stadium, but this time entirely for the benefit of UNICEF, leaving just over half a million clean dollars for this United Nations organization.

The repertoire of that emblematic and successful album with 14 tracks included Two Days in the Life, Petal of Salt, One Dress and One Love, Graves of Glory, The Magic Wheel, Behind the Wailing Wall, Brilliant on the Mic AND to roll my life.
