Romina Manguel exploded with rage on his radio show, Don’t leave for tomorrow (Radio con te, 18:00), for coverage of the convictions of the eight rugby players who participated in the brutal murder of Fernando Báez Sosa, and in show partners (El Trece, p. 11) claimed to aim at Karina Mazzocco.
In detail, the journalist and International Relations graduate began her defense by saying: “The image of (Maximum) Thomsen passed out is cool!”, referring to the reaction of the 23-year-old sentenced to life sentence as co-perpetrator of “doubly aggravated murder by premeditated conspiracy of two or more people and treason, in an ideal conspiracy with minor injuries”.
“(Fernando) Burlando (lawyer for the victim’s family) said ‘this is how (in a state of fainting) they killed Fernando (Báez Sosa)'”added one of his pundits.
“He said it and then again today, I’m sorry he was inside Chronicle, but they go back to the graphics and put ‘Now those who faint are the rugby players’, As if they had passed out before… I think it was worth it, all the limits have been crossed,” said Romina, visibly angry.
“At some point it will have to mix and give again. I I want to believe that at least we journalists are better than what we are seeingI really want to believe it because there are covers (like) those of Liliana Caruso and Patricia Blanco that are really worth it,” added the presenter.
And launched: “Now there are others who are assholes! Grab a cell phone and go to Dolores today (for this Monday) for the first time without knowing a fucking case…”.
Before playing Manguel’s sayings live, Rodrigo Lussich, one of the conductors of show partnersHe explained to his viewers: “Karina Mazzocco went to Dolores and then in her radio show Romina Manguel, without naming her, outlined a critique ‘to those now staying in Dolores as if they knew about the case and didn’t know shit'”.
And he added piquantly: “Manguel has no brakes and was furious at Mazzocco’s presence… He said well, there were no euphemisms. He made a differentiation by criticizing a graph of in principle Chroniclewhen they read the sentence and Thomsen passed out, so to speak ‘There is a journalism that does not do these things, we are going mambo…’, and then criticizes the ‘mamarracho’ who don’t know the case”.
Furthermore, Lussich focused on the fact that “Karina didn’t know you couldn’t take pictures inside the room” where the verdict for the crime of Fernando Báez Sosa was read.
“It’s a society-wide case, so whether you’re a journalist or not, you’re immersed in the subject. And if you work for a channel and think you can do it, why not find yourself in a case that puts the entire company on edge?” Mariana Brey in defense of Mazzocco.
“When a pilot like in this case leaves the studio and goes to the location reinforces the transmission and gives it another visibility… we also understand Romina if she didn’t like what she did (Karina)”added Adriano Pallares in the same tune as its speaker.
